Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) can evaluate cardiac diseases and phathophysiology from various directions and aspects. Late Gadolinium Enhancement (LGE) MRI is the standard reference as non-invasive imaging in evaluating myocardial scar and fibrosis. Cine MRI is also recognized as the standard reference for assessment of left ventricular function. However, there are still some problems with these assessment techniques. These days the latest techniques such as T1 mapping and compressed sensing are applied to CMR and they will be useful to overcome the existing problems. In this manuscript, outline of the clinical use of T1 mapping and compressed sensing is explained.
