P-Uセルサイトポートのカテーテル材質はポリウレタンでシリコンより損傷しにくく、延べ3,000件の使用経験を有する当院でも一度もカテーテル損傷の経験がない。化学療法目的にCVポートシステムを使用する施設において、導入するCVポートシステムの選択要件としてカテーテル損傷による抗がん剤の皮下漏出の危険がない事は最も重視する点である。
P-U Celsiteport®, with its streamlined shape and triangular base, not only mitigates foreign body sensation at insertion site, but also does not turn once fitted. Anthron®-coated catheters effectively reduce the development of thrombosis and bacterial and fungal adhesion. Made of polyurethane, they are also less prone to breakage than silicone catheters. Since the Anthron®-coated catheter was introduced at our hospital in 2008, no breakage has occurred among 3,000 cases. This performance matches the primary priority when selecting a novel CV-port system, namely to have no breakage risk as this could result in subcutaneous leakage of a chemotherapeutic agent.
